Sunday’s Be Happy Challenge:

– Three Songs That Put You in a Good Mood. –

As you know, I love music.  I have playlists for everything: working out [ha!], boating, lying on the beach, self pity parties, etc.  I can find appropriate music for any mood I can ever imagine feeling.

Here are three songs that can put me in a good mood every time I hear them!

1. Three Little Birds – Bob Marley

“Don’t worry about a thing,

‘Cause every little thing gonna be alright.”

2. Love – Matt White

“And love… such a silly game we play,

Like a summer’s day in May.”

3. Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da – The Beatles

“Happy ever after in the market place…”

How can any of these not cheer you up and make you smile?!

“One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.” ~Bob Marley

I LOVE music!  It expresses everything that I can’t put into words, and there’s always a song of some sort that perfectly matches my mood, my situation, or whatever point I’m at in my life.

I gave Arden an award recently wherein she had to pick 20 song lines or lyrics that best describe her life.

I thought the idea was pretty awesome, if I do say so myself, so I decided to put my life in song, as well.  (Except I don’t get any cool award out of it… Hmphh.)

My Life in Music:

“Don’t worry about a thing, ‘Cause every little thing gonna be all right…” [Three Little Birds – Bob Marley]

“I’m a back row sinner at a tent revival…” [Like Jesus Does – Eric Church]

“It’s times like these I wish I were a tin man…” [The Tin Man – Kenny Chesney]

“All of You is more than enough for all of me…” [Enough – Chris Tomlin]

“I’m going off the rails on a crazy train…” [Crazy Train – Ozzy Osbourne]

“It’s just these simple things keep me holding on…” [Simple Things – Amos Lee]

“Only got twenty dollars in my pocket…” [Thrift Shop – Macklemore]

“I need a shrink just to tell me what I think…” [Push You Away – Pink]

“Oh no, I never got over those blue eyes, I see them everywhere…” [I Still Miss Someone – Johnny Cash]

“Nobody told me that the road would be easy…” [Nobody Knows – Nelly]

“Follow your heart and nothing else…” [Simple Man – Lynyrd Skynyrd]

“I’m balancing on one fine wire…” [One Fine Wire – Colbie Caillat]

“Same bed but it feels just a little bit bigger now…” [When I Was Your Man – Bruno Mars]

“Beside my brothers and my sisters I will proudly take a stand…” [American Soldier – Toby Keith]

“Till all the pain’s a cloud of dust, Yeah, sometimes I drive your truck.” [I Drive Your Truck – Lee Brice]

“You were five foot six to the top of your hat, but when you talked about the war, I thought you were Superman. American born simple man with a southern drawl. You walk the walk, talk the talk, Grandpa.” [Grandpa – Justin Moore]

“If my rhyme was a drug, I’d sell it by the gram…” [Ice Ice Baby – Vanilla Ice]

“It’s the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine…” [It’s the End of the World (As We Know It) – REM]

“You got to know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em, Know when to walk away and know when to run…” [The Gambler – Kenny Rogers]

“You may say I’m a dreamer, but I not the only one…” [Imagine – John Lennon]

Is music your refuge?  What song best describes your life?

“Music is to the soul what words are to the mind.”

~Modest Mouse

“The only escape from the miseries of life are music and cats…” ~Albert Schweitzer

As you all know by now, one of my favorite bloggers and favorite [nearly] crazy cat ladies is Arden.  Under normal circumstances, I would have nominated her for the Liebster Award, but the first time I received it she was my nominator, and I couldn’t nominate her back, and the second time I received it, she had already received it, too.  But… she definitely deserves another award because 1) she’s awesome, and 2) she needs something to blog about tomorrow.  Sooooo I’ve made up an award especially for her.

Please join me in welcoming Crazy Cat Lady Arden as the first only latest recipient of the MEDAL OF AWESOMENESS!!!

Here’s how this award works:

1. [Proudly] display the Medal of Awesomeness on your page.

2. Give a shout out to your nominator.

3. Nominate one of your favorite fellow bloggers to receive the Medal of Awesomeness so he or she can be as awesome as you.

4. Tell us 20 song lines or lyrics that best describe you/your life.

5. Your lyrics cannot have any reference to cats.  None.

Now, when we all have the same stinking song stuck in our heads all day, we’ll know exactly who to blame.  Congrats on being an AWESOMELY AWESOME blogger, Arden!!
