You just HAD to post the scariest thing ever….and no I am not talking about the garbage pail kids…….MY BUDDY!! I had nightmares that he would come to life and strangle me!!!
I absolutely loved trapper keepers…..have you seen the pee chee folders that are out, granted they aren’t as cool as the mustard colored ones that we had back in the day but I did grab a couple for old times sake.
I solved the problem with the Barbie and her stupid shoes…..super glue!!
I was the sticker book queen!!!!
great post!

My sister was the My Buddy culprit. She loved that stupid thing! We got into a fight once, and I pulled his arm off. She cried for days. Then she buried the arm in the back yard. Ridiculous!
I’m going school shopping for the kiddos tonight… I’m going to see if I can sneak some folders and Trapper Keepers in the cart!!
Super glue?! Never even thought of it… brilliant!

Buried the arm??? Hahaha ….. having thoughts of the arm grabbing kids while they are running around….I watched way to many twilight zones movies!

Don’t forget the Rubix cube, Ken doll and Barbie Winnebego. Oh, and Madonna has to be somewhere in this mix no matter your age!
August 2nd, 2013 at 10:35 pm
Oh yes! And I forgot Jem… she had light-up earrings!
Oh yeah – Madonna and Janet Jackson and Paul Abdul!! 🙂

I loved my puffalump!! I had a pink one, ummmm ok, I still have her… And she looks fabulous!! The Trapper Keepers barely made it though midterms – but I would SO rock one today with PRIDE :))
Thanks for the walk down memory lane!!
August 3rd, 2013 at 7:59 pm
Aww, I love that you still have it!
Ooh, I HATED those stupid plastic rings…! They would break the first month of using the thing! But yes… I would rock one, too! 😉

This is a great list! I grew up in the 60’s/70’s and my kids were born in the early 90’s, so I’m very familiar with most of these – some fond memories, some I always hated!
August 3rd, 2013 at 8:01 pm
Too funny! There were a couple on there that I hated, too, but it’s funny because they’re the ones that seemed to be my sister’s favorites!
August 4th, 2013 at 4:50 am
I never noticed before but Teddy Ruxpin is kinda creepy, isn’t he? Like something out of a Stephen King novel!
I was a Lego kid, myself.
August 5th, 2013 at 9:32 am
Man!! How in the world did I leave Legos off the list?! You’re right – we played with those, too!
That’s before the days of ample wheels – My sister and I used to fight over the one or two sets we had! And we only had ONE of those big green pieces to build everything on – we fought over that, too!
Thanks for the reminder!!
And yes – I felt like her Teddy Ruxpin was always watching me!
August 5th, 2013 at 4:23 pm
Pogs were AWESOME!! (Until they banned them from school because they were also gambling.)
And I still have a Velcro Ball… don’t judge.
August 5th, 2013 at 4:29 pm
Yes! They banned them from our school too!
Haha! That made me laugh! 😉
