“One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.” ~Bob Marley

I LOVE music!  It expresses everything that I can’t put into words, and there’s always a song of some sort that perfectly matches my mood, my situation, or whatever point I’m at in my life.

I gave Arden an award recently wherein she had to pick 20 song lines or lyrics that best describe her life.

I thought the idea was pretty awesome, if I do say so myself, so I decided to put my life in song, as well.  (Except I don’t get any cool award out of it… Hmphh.)

My Life in Music:

“Don’t worry about a thing, ‘Cause every little thing gonna be all right…” [Three Little Birds – Bob Marley]

“I’m a back row sinner at a tent revival…” [Like Jesus Does – Eric Church]

“It’s times like these I wish I were a tin man…” [The Tin Man – Kenny Chesney]

“All of You is more than enough for all of me…” [Enough – Chris Tomlin]

“I’m going off the rails on a crazy train…” [Crazy Train – Ozzy Osbourne]

“It’s just these simple things keep me holding on…” [Simple Things – Amos Lee]

“Only got twenty dollars in my pocket…” [Thrift Shop – Macklemore]

“I need a shrink just to tell me what I think…” [Push You Away – Pink]

“Oh no, I never got over those blue eyes, I see them everywhere…” [I Still Miss Someone – Johnny Cash]

“Nobody told me that the road would be easy…” [Nobody Knows – Nelly]

“Follow your heart and nothing else…” [Simple Man – Lynyrd Skynyrd]

“I’m balancing on one fine wire…” [One Fine Wire – Colbie Caillat]

“Same bed but it feels just a little bit bigger now…” [When I Was Your Man – Bruno Mars]

“Beside my brothers and my sisters I will proudly take a stand…” [American Soldier – Toby Keith]

“Till all the pain’s a cloud of dust, Yeah, sometimes I drive your truck.” [I Drive Your Truck – Lee Brice]

“You were five foot six to the top of your hat, but when you talked about the war, I thought you were Superman. American born simple man with a southern drawl. You walk the walk, talk the talk, Grandpa.” [Grandpa – Justin Moore]

“If my rhyme was a drug, I’d sell it by the gram…” [Ice Ice Baby – Vanilla Ice]

“It’s the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine…” [It’s the End of the World (As We Know It) – REM]

“You got to know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em, Know when to walk away and know when to run…” [The Gambler – Kenny Rogers]

“You may say I’m a dreamer, but I not the only one…” [Imagine – John Lennon]

Is music your refuge?  What song best describes your life?
